Nursing Program
A.A.S.

Eastern WV Community and Technical College is proud to serve as host to Southern WV Community and Technical College's nationally-recognized associate in applied science degree program in Nursing.

Preparing men and women to provide and manage care for adults and children with acute or chronic health problems in a variety of settings, this program consistently ranks among the nation's leaders in terms of its graduates' pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses.

Students in the Potomac Highlands who have completed Southern's nursing program in Moorefield have, to date, achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the professional licensure exam.

Southern's Department of Nursing faculty believe that licensed registered nurses--as members of the nursing discipline that incorporates the concepts of Person-Health-Environment--belong to "a unique profession concerned with assessing, promoting, maintaining, and restoring the health of individuals and families."
