Continuing Education

If you need to enhance existing work skills, learn new skills in order to perform better on the job or take required courses to maintain licensure, Continuing Education non-credit courses are right for you.

Continuing Education courses target professional growth and are designed for the non-degree seeking student. Courses are generally short in duration and upon successful course completion CEUs are awarded.

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA): in Romney: Starts in August (exact dates and times to be announced)

Healthcare Technicians:

Certification Exams--National Health Career Association (NHA):
Eastern has received official designation as an NHA Certification Exam center. The college will proctor NHA Certification exams usually on Saturdays.
Only individuals who have successfully completed a training program recognized by NHA, or who have at least 2 years of documented experience in the area for which they seek certification, are eligible for the exams.

Healthcare Trainings:

Medical Assistant Training: 34 weeks: in Moorefield; August 24 - April 14; Monday & Wednesday evenings, 6 pm - 9:30, pm, plus 6 Saturdays 9 am - 3 pm

Pharmacy Career Track: 15 weeks: in Moorefield; August 17 - November 23; Monday & Wednesday evenings, 6 pm - 9:30, pm, plus 3 Saturdays 9 am - 3 pm

Pharmacy Technician: 8 weeks: in Moorefield; August 17 - October 7

Phlebotomy Technician: 11 weeks: in Romney; August 18 - October 27; 9 hours/week; at the Hampshire County Access Center (Hampshire County High School)

Medical Billing & Coding: 11 weeks: in Petersburg: August 18 - October 27

 


 

Multi-Craft Training: 32 weeks, exact dates & times to be announced: includes DC electricity, AC electricity, Fundamentals of Maintenance, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Electric Motors & Generators
